Scott
Cordes, president of CHS commodity brokerage subsidiary
Country Hedging, has been re-elected to the National
Futures Association (NFA) board of directors.
Elected for a two-year term by
the futures commission merchant members, Cordes
will represent that member category to the larger
board.
“Every
NFA board member I know takes this responsibility
very seriously,” says Cordes about the role.
“We are there to guide the association
as it serves to ensure the integrity
of those involved in the futures markets.”
The
NFA is an industry-wide, self-regulatory
organization for the United States futures
industry. Membership is mandatory for
some 4,200 companies and 55,000 individuals involved
in futures, assuring a uniform standard
of professional conduct and the
highest level of integrity by
all.
